Dr Wasif Anees MBBS, PhD, FRCPConsultant PhysicianGMC number - 3331217 Dr Wasif Anees trained as a doctor at King's College, London. After qualifying in 1990, he served as a medical officer in the Royal Air Force until 1994. He undertook specialist training in Respiratory Medicine in Birmingham and has also had training in Occupational Medicine at Manchester University. He developed his sub-specialist interest in occupational asthma, performing research in this field and submitting a thesis towards his PhD. He has published papers and presented his research links with Birmingham University. His main clinical interests are asthma, chronic bronchitis, lung cancer and interstitial lung disease. He aims to develop Respiratory services within Guernsey and also plans to investigate the epidemiology of respiratory disease within the island. He is married to a GP, they have three boys. Main interests outside work are golf and bridge. |
