Dr Sandie Bohin PhD MRCP FCRPCHConsultant PaediatricianGMC number - 13228 DR Bohin joined the Medical Specialist Group as a Consultant Paediatrician in 2009. She was born and educated in Bristol and completed her undergraduate medical training at Southampton University before moving back to Bristol for her postgraduate training. She went on to train in paediatrics at Bristol and Bath Hospital before becoming a Paediatric Registrar. Continuing her research at the University of Leicester, she conducted two years of studies in Perinatal Epidemiology (focusing on newborn baby diseases). Following this she became a senior registrar at Leicester Royal Infirmary before taking up a Consultant Neonatal post (1996) before moving to become head of Neonatology for University Hospital Leicester (2000). During her consultancy work Dr Bohin kept abreast of new developments in Perinatal Epidemiology; specifically renal disease, antenatal counselling and nutrition. She also has an interest in the organisation and structure of medical services, particularly Clinical Governance and Medico Legal issues and still teaches regularly. Dr Bohin is a fellow of The Royal College of Paediatricians and is a member of the Neonatal Society and the British Association of Perinatal Medicine. |
