Dr Steve Evans MRCPConsultant Physician/GeriatricianGMC number - 3356467 Dr Steve Evans grew up in South Wales and attended Bristol University Medical School, graduating in 1988. Following general medical training in Bristol & Birmingham, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994. Registrar posts in Jersey, Southampton and New Zealand, and higher specialist training in the University Hospitals of Leicester led to the Completion of Certificate in Specialist Training (CCST) in General and Geriatric Medicine. He was appointed as a Consultant Physician at Leicester General Hospital in 1999. He helped develop stroke and syncope services there. In September 2002 he was appointed to one of two new posts of general physician with a special interest in elderly care based at the Medical Specialist Group and together with his new colleague he will be closely involved with the developments of future plans for the provision of services for the elderly across the island. |
