Mr Bob Haskins is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Medical Specialist Group with a sub-specialty interest in Infertility.

He was born in South Wales in 1947 and qualified as a doctor at the Welsh National School of Medicine in Cardiff. Following Graduation in 1970, he worked at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport before joining the RAF as a Medical Officer in Brize Norton. His service experience includes a period as Medical Officer in charge of aeromedical teams in Hong Kong, Singapore and Cyprus.

His specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology took place at Stoke Mandeville/Royal Bucks Hospitals and the RAF Hospital, Halton, and was sponsored by the RAF. At Stoke Mandeville Hospital he gained unique experience in the management of Obstetric and Gynaecological problems of women with spinal injuries.

In 1975 he became and Member of the Royal College of Gynaecologists and continued working within the RAF until 1976 when moved to Guernsey and joined the L'Aumone and St Sampson's Medical Practice.

He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1989 and additional specialist work at the Infertility Clinic at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the Cade Cancer Centre, Halton, has lead to a special interest and skills in the management of Infertility and Gynaecological Cancers.

He maintains a close liaison with Specialist IVF Clinics in the UK (Bourn Hall and Chalybeate).

His wife, Felicity, is a local Advocate and his interests outside work include skiing and tennis, music and travelling.
